Liana Steinmetz is a passionate landscape painter who finds deep inspiration in the natural world. Born and raised in Marin County, California, where the redwood forests meet the ocean and expansive hills stretch toward the bay, Liana has always been drawn to the outdoors. She spent much of her childhood exploring nature and creating art, a love that continued into adulthood.

After studying Anthropology in college, Liana faced a period of uncertainty. Struggling to navigate a fast-paced world and feeling disconnected, she discovered that time spent in nature was the key to her happiness. As she deepened her connection to the Earth, she found peace and belonging, and this powerful relationship led her to pursue a career in painting.

For the past ten years, Liana has been painting professionally, capturing the dramatic and soothing beauty of landscapes through her work. Her paintings are a reflection of her spiritual connection with the land, a way for her to express her gratitude for the natural world. Painting is not only a way for Liana to share her experiences but also a way for her to honor the Earth. Each piece is a tribute to the wild, beautiful planet we call home.

As she explains, “There are moments when I see a landscape and it is so beautiful, it overwhelms me. My heart jumps out of my chest. I want to be the land, the rain, the wind, the clouds. But as a human in a tiny body, I humbly accept my place and do what I can to show my gratitude— I paint it."
