Jonathan Baran is a Sacramento-based artist known for his vibrant, visually striking work. With a background in decorative painting, he honed his craft under a French artisan in Montréal before moving to California in 2002. After years of creating high-end residential finishes, he shifted focus to his own artistic production, exhibiting at Elliott Fouts Gallery. A largely self-taught painter, Baran embraces bold contrasts, saturated colors, and strong focal points, working with soft pastels, acrylics, and oils to create dynamic, expressive pieces that capture beauty in unexpected places.
