Emily Furr is a Charleston-based oil painter whose work explores formative moments of her Southern upbringing. Blending painting with sculptural elements, she plays with color interactions to evoke themes of sentimentality, anxiety, excitement, and fear. Furr holds an MFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a BFA in Painting and Drawing from Winthrop University.
